The authors of this interesting paper study the solutions of the wave equation on the De Sitter-Schwarzschild metric in terms of resonances. It is known that one of the most efficient approaches to the question of local energy decay is the theory of resonances. Resonances correspond to the frequencies and rates of dumping of signals emitted by the black hole in the presence of perturbations. The information for the existence of a black hole as well as its stability can be obtained by studying of resonances. In particular the knowledge of the localization of resonances gives precise information about the decay of the local energy and its rate. The main idea in the paper is to show how the above stated method applies to the simplest model of a black hole, that is, the De Sitter-Schwarzschild black hole. The principal term in the expansion of the solution of the wave equation is due to a resonance at zero. The error term decays polynomially if we permit a logarithmic derivative loss in the angular directions and exponentially if we permit an \(\varepsilon \) derivative loss in the angular directions.
