    The author proves a lower bound for the discrepancy of \(N\) forms in the unit cube in dimension \(d\geq 2\), namely \[ \| D_N\| _{L^1(\log L)^{\frac{d-2}{2}}}\gtrsim (\log N)^{\frac{d-1}{2}}, \] where \(\| \;\| _{L'(\log L)^{\frac{d-1}{2}}}\) is an Orlicz norm (``close'' to \(L^1\)). This supports a well-known conjecture for the \(L^1\) norm, namely in dimension \(d\geq 3\) \(\| D_N\| _1\gtrsim(\log N)^{\frac{d-1}{2}}\).
