An initial boundary value problem for the wave equation with source term is considered. Under some very special conditions regarding domain, kernel \(k\) and nonlinearity \(g\) in the boundary conditions, energy decay rates for the weak solutions are shown. Both cases \(g\) has polynomial growth near the origin as well as \(g\) has not a polynomial behavior near the origin are investigated.
