This paper presents numerical integration techniques for Hamiltonian partial differential equations over a finite time interval. Exponential integrators, i.e., here Runge-Kutta methods of collocation type, are considered. Applications deal with linear and semilinear Schrödinger Cauchy problems on the \(d\)-dimensional torus without any space discretization. Numerical analyses show that \(s\)-stage collocation methods are of order \(s\) for suitable Sobolev norms. Furthermore algebraic sufficient conditions on the collocation points of an \(s\)-stage method are given in order to obtain methods of order \(s+1\) and \(s+2\). The effect of resonant time steps on the order of constants is studied. Finally numerical experiments are presented.
