On the thermodynamics of fluid and solid phases (Q1057155): Difference between revisions

In this paper the approach proposed by the second author [ibid. 31, 277- 294 (1982; Zbl 0541.73004)] is applied to systems constituted by one component in two or three phases of which one is solid and the other ones are fluid. This approach allows to obtain the field equations and the jump conditions describing the evolution of the following phase changes: sublimation (solid-vapor), fusion (solid-liquid) or their inverse transformations and the simultaneous presence of the three phases (solid- liquid-vapor).
