In this work the author tried to study the approximate kinematical relations in finite plasticity. Starting from the finite deformation theory of plasticity, the author decomposed the total deformation into elastic and plastic parts. Having derived the most general expression for strains and rotations, the author obtained some special cases which are immediate between infinitesimal and finite plasticity theories. In one of these cases the order of elastic deformations is different from the plastic deformation, and in the other case the order of rotations is different from the strains. This work is somewhat a continuation of authors previous work on the same subject [see the author and \textit{P. M. Naghdi}, Q. Appl. Math. 41, 339-342 (1983; Zbl 0559.73046) and J. Appl. Mech. 47, 672-675 (1980; Zbl 0472.73035)]. This work might be very useful for those researchers working on the approximate theories of plasticity.
