This article considers the flow past a body on the surface of which condensation or evaporation can take place. A mass flux across the surface of the body is added to the thermodynamic fluxes and the difference between the pressure of the unperturbed gas and the equilibrium vapor pressure corresponding to the temperature of the gas is added to the thermodynamic forces. The principle of symmetry of the kinetic coefficients is established for the obtained system of fluxes and forces. In the last section, the problem of flow of gas in a channel with heat conducting walls of arbitrary shape connecting two independent equilibrium states is considered.
