The \(T_{pqr}\)[*] singularity is the complex space curve singularity given by the equations \(x^ 2-y^ p-z^ q=yz=0\); it is the singularity \(P_{pq}\) in Wall's notation [\textit{C. T. C. Wall}, Singularities, Summer Inst., Arcata/Calif. 1981, Proc. Symp. Pure Math. 40, Part 2, 625-640 (1983; Zbl 0519.58013)] and is unimodular for most values of p and q. The paper is a sequel to the author's previous work [''Torus embeddings and deformations of simple singularities of space curves'', Acta Math. 157, 159-242 (1986); see also his same named thesis (Regensburg 1984; Zbl 0597.14003)]. Its main result describes the discriminant of a semi- universal deformation of the \(T_{pqr}[*]\) singularity as the branching divisor of a certain Galois cover. The latter is constructed from combinatorial data encoded in a Dynkin type diagram. The description involves results of Looijenga on rational surfaces carrying an anti- canonical cycle, as well as toroidal compactification of quotients by infinite reflection groups.
