Riemannian foliations \(\mathcal F\) of Riemannian manifolds \(M\) with bundle- like metrics are considered. (1) If the orthogonal complement of \(\mathcal F\) in \(TM\) is integrable and the sectional curvature \(K_ M\) of \(M\) satisfies \(K_ M\geq -\kappa^ 2\), then the principal curvatures \(\lambda\) of the leaves satisfy \(\lambda \leq \kappa \). (2) If \(M\) is compact with \(K_ M\) of fixed sign, then \(M\) splits locally iff \(K_ M(v\wedge w) = 0\) for all \(v\) tangent and \(w\) orthogonal to \(\mathcal F\). (3) If \(M\) is compact and simply-connected, \(\dim M = 4\) and \(\mathcal F\) is oriented and totally geodesic, then either \(M = S^ 2\times S^ 2\) or \(M = (B_ k\times S^ 2)/S^ 1\), where \(B_ k\) is a lense space of order \(k\).
