Precipitous filters are used to describe upper bounds for the power of singular cardinals. \textit{T. Jech} [Ann. Pure Appl. Logic 26, 31-45 (1984; Zbl 0582.03032)] investigated precipitous filters and gave equivalent descriptions with infinite games. He also introduced weakly precipitous filters. In the present paper the authors solve some problems stated by Jech in the above paper. They show that there exist weakly precipitous filters in L and that the existence of a weakly precipitous filter does not imply the existence of \(0^{\#}\).
