Let be given a sequence of uniformly continuous real-valued functions, converging uniformly over a separable Banach space \(X\). These functions, via the extension principle of Zadeh, are extended to fuzzy-number-valued functions defined on the same space \(X\). The author proves that this new sequence converges uniformly with respect to the Hausdorff metric. A suitable example shows that this result is false if the assigned sequence converges pointwise.
