The authors study the properties of stable solutions with a single vortex to the Ginzburg-Landau system with a positive smooth weight. The problem is studied with respect to the Neumann boundary condition on the unit ball in the complex plane. The authors establish several qualitative properties of solutions with respect to a large parameter \(\lambda\). If the weight has a radial symmetry in the disk and is monotone increasing in the radial direction then it is proved that the problem possesses a pair of solution with a unique singularity, provided that the real parameter is large. Furthermore, it is established a sufficient condition for the weight to allow these solutions being stable for any \(\lambda\) sufficiently large. The authors also discuss the role of the monotonicity of the weight in the stability of the vortex solution.
