This paper is a continuation of some study of finite inverse planes of even order in ibid. 22, 137--147 (1987; Zbl 0609.51011) by the authors. Using coding theory, here they prove the following results: -- If a finite inverse plane \(I\) of even order \(q\) admits an automorphism of order \(q+1\), then \(I\) is Miquelian. -- If a finite inverse plane \(I\) of even order \(q\) admits an automorphism of order \(q-1\), fixing all the circles through two fixed points, then \(I\) is Miquelian. The details are too involved to be described here.
