In topology, the \(R_ 1\)-separation axiom was first introduced by \textit{C. T. Yang} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 5, 185-189 (1954; Zbl 0055.414)] who, however, called it the \(T_ 2'\)-axiom; the present name \(R_ 1\) is due to \textit{A. S. Davis} [Am. Math. Mon. 68, 886-894 (1961; Zbl 0106.155)]. Also, the \(H_ 0\)-axiom of \textit{K. Csaszar} [Proc. Int. Symposium on Topology and its Applications Herceg-Novi/Yugoslavia 1968, 118-120 (1969; Zbl 0202.538)] is the same as the \(R_ 1\)-axiom. However, the fuzzy topological analogue of this axiom was first introduced by \textit{B. Hutton} and \textit{I. Reilly} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 3, 93-104 (1980; Zbl 0421.54006)]. Later, \textit{A. K. Srivastava} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 127, 151-154 (1987; Zbl 0621.54004)] also introduced another concept of a fuzzy \(R_ 1\)-topological space. The aim of the present paper is to introduce and study eighteen possible concepts of fuzzy \(R_ 1\)-topological spaces in a certain scheme. We observe that all considered concepts turn out to be good extensions (in the sense of \textit{R. Lowen} [ibid. 56, 621-633 (1976; Zbl 0342.54003)]) of their topological counterparts. In addition, we note several other properties of these concepts. A comparison of these concepts is also provided.
