Automorphisms and the Kähler cone of certain Calabi-Yau manifolds (Q1320617): Difference between revisions

The authors prove that the fundamental group of automorphisms of a rational jacobian elliptic surface \(V\) with irreducible fibres acts on the cone of the nef divisors with a finite rational polyhedral fundamental domain. Then they prove a similar result for the Calabi-Yau manifold \(X\) equal to the fibred product of two surfaces as above. The proof is based on the fact that the group of automorphisms of \(X\) is naturally isomorphic to the product of the automorphism groups of the two surfaces [\textit{Y. Namikawa}, J. Math. Kyoto Univ. 31, No. 1, 151-164 (1991; Zbl 0736.14018)].
