The author deals with obtaining norm bounds of the type \[ \int_ M \omega^ 2| \nabla f|^ 2\sigma^ 2 \leq \text{const} \| (H + a)f\|^ 2_ 2, \] where \(M\) is an \(N\)-dimensional Riemannian manifold, \(H\) is a non-negative self-adjoint operator, \(\omega\) is a positive and differentiable function, which is required to satisfy certain inequalities, \(f \in \text{dom }H\). These estimates are applied to the approximation of eigenvalues of a Schrödinger type operator defined on the domain with irregular or fractal boundary.
