For a ring \(A\) with identity the regular (conjugate) action of the group \(G\) of units on the set \(X\) of non-zero nonunits induces a representation of \(G\) into the symmetric group \(\text{Sym}(X)\) of the set \(X\). In the paper compact rings from the following classes are described: i) compact rings \(A\) for which \(X \neq \emptyset\) and \(G\) acts transitively on \(X\) by the regular action; ii) compact rings \(A\) for which \(| X| \geq 2\) and \(G\) acts primitively on \(X\) by the regular action. It is proved (theorem 4.5) that if \(A\) is a compact semisimple ring such that \(X \neq \emptyset\), then \(G\) acts semi-primitively on \(X\) by the regular action if and only if: 1) \(A\) is a non-zero compact Boolean ring. 2) \(A\) is isomorphic to \(F \times B\) , where \(F\) is a finite field with cardinality 3 or \(2^ n\) for some positive integer \(n\) such that \(2^ n - 1\) is prime, \(B\) is a non-zero compact Boolean ring. 3) \(A\) is isomorphic to \(F_ 0 \times F_ 1\) where each \(F_ i\) is a ring of cardinality 3 or \(2^{n_ i}\) for some positive integer \(n_ i\) such that \(2^{n_ i} - 1\) is prime. 4) \(A\) is isomorphic to the ring of \(2 \times 2\) matrices over \(\mathbb{Z}/(2)\).
