Let \(G\) be a closed subgroup of \(\text{SL}_ n (R)\), and \(\Gamma\) a lattice in \(G\). Let \(\theta: R\to G\) be a map which is a polynomial function, namely, each matrix coordinate is a polynomial. The author shows, that the trajectory \(\{\theta (t) \Gamma:t>0\}\) is uniformly distributed with respect to a measure defined analogously to \textit{M. Ratner} [Invent. Math. 101, 449-482 (1990; Zbl 0745.28009); Acta Math. 165, 229-309 (1990; Zbl 0745.28010); Ann. Math., II. Ser. 134, 545-607 (1991; Zbl 0763.28012); Duke Math. J. 63, 235-280 (1991; Zbl 0733.22007)]. The result is achieved in a more general setup than in case \(G= R^ n\), \(\Gamma= Z^ n\), when it can be deduced from a classical result due to Weyl.
