The author studies \(U_q^M(g)\), where \(M\) is a lattice between the root lattice and the weight lattice of \(g\), a finite-dimensional semisimple complex Lie algebra. He first proves that \(U_q^M(g)\) and its unrestricted specializations at roots of 1 are braided Hopf algebras. The author's definition of braided for a Hopf algebra \(H\) involves an automorphism of \(H\otimes H\), rather than an invertible element of \(H\otimes H\). In the second part, he shows the convergence of the (specialized) \(R\)-matrix action to a birational automorphism of a \(2\ell\)-fold ramified covering of \(\text{Spec}(U^M_\varepsilon(g))^{\times 2}\) when \(\varepsilon\) is a primitive \(\ell\)-th root of unity.
