The change of variables formula in the form \[ \int_{G(a)}^{G(b)}f = \int_a^b f\circ G\cdot g \] with \(G(t)=G(a) +\int_a^t g(s)ds\) is proved in a nice elementary way. Here \(g\) is a Riemann integrable function and the validity of the given formula is discussed in the paper.
