In the article quantum affine reflection algebras of type \(d_n^{(1)}\) are used to derive new families of nondiagonal trigonometric reflection matrices correponding to the vector representation of \(so(2n)\). These reflection matrices describe the reflection of solitons off the integrable boundary in \(d_n^{(1)}\)-affine Toda theory and may be used for the construction of integrable vertex models and quantum spin chains with open boundaries.
