A linear recurrence with fuzzy coefficients was considered by \textit{E. Y. Deeba}, \textit{A. de Korvin} and \textit{E. L. Koh} [ J. Differ. Equ. Appl. 2, 365--374 (1996; Zbl 0882.39002)]. Here, the simple nonlinear case (as in the title) with fuzzy coefficients is examined. Fuzzy coefficients and fuzzy solutions are considered normalized fuzzy numbers [cf. \textit{R. Goetschel jun.} and \textit{W. Voxman}, Fuzzy Sets Syst. 18, 31--43 (1986; Zbl 0626.26014)]. After collecting necessary results about systems of Riccati difference equations [cf. \textit{V. L. Kocic} and \textit{G. Ladas}, Global behaviour of nonlinear difference equations of higher order with applications, Kluwer, Dordrecht (1993; Zbl 0787.39001)] the existence, convergence and oscillation of positive fuzzy solutions (of the title equation) are examined.
