A linear neutral system with discrete and distributed time delays is considered: \[ \dot{x}(t)=Ax(t)+\sum_{i=1}^{m}[B_{i}x(t-h_{i})+C_{i}\dot{x}(t-h_{i})+D_{i}\int_{t-\tau_{i}} ^{t}x(s)ds],t\geq 0, \] \[ x(t)=\Phi(t),t\leq 0. \] New discrete-delay-independent (dependent) asymptotic stability sufficient conditions are obtained in terms of the spectral radius and LMI. A numerical example is given.
