Sei \(q\) eine feste positive ganze Zahl ohne quadratischen Teiler; dann bilden die unimodularen linear gebrochenen Substitutionen einer complexen Variable \(\omega\) mit den Coefficienten: \[ \left(\begin{aligned} & a+b\sqrt{q}+\root 4\of q(\alpha+\beta\sqrt{q}),\quad c+d\sqrt{q}+\root 4\of q(\gamma+\delta\sqrt{q})\\ -&c-d\sqrt{q}+\root 4\of q(\alpha+\beta\sqrt{q}),\quad a+b\sqrt{q}-\root 4\of q(\alpha+\beta\sqrt{q})\end{aligned}\right) \] \((a\), \(b\), \(c\), \(d\), \(\alpha\), \(\beta\), \(\gamma\), \(\delta\) ganze Zahlen) eine Gruppe, von der unter Benutzung einer projectiven Massbestimmung gezeigt wird, dass ihr in der \(\omega\)-Ebene ein endlicher Fundamentalbereich zugehört.
