    The differential equation \[ -iu_{t}+i(u^{2}u^{\ast })_{x}=\varepsilon (i\alpha (u^{2}u^{\ast })-(1-i\beta)u-u_{xx} \] is considered and solutions of the form \[ u(x,t)=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}a(t)+b(t)\cos x+c(t)\sin x \] are sought for. The problem is reduced this way to an ODE system and several theorems are proven for the existence of heteroclinic orbits connecting fixed-points and periodic orbits, respectively.
