Let \(A\) denote the class of functions \(f\) of the form \(f(z)=z+ a_2z^2+ \dots\) holomorphic in the unit disc \(U=\{z\in \mathbb{C}:|z|<1\}\). Let \(M(\alpha)\), \(\alpha>1\), be the subclass of \(A\) consisting of functions which satisfy the condition \(\text{Re} \{{zf'(z)\over f(z)}\} <\alpha\), \(z\in U\) and let \(N(\alpha)\), \(\alpha>1\), be the subclass of \(A\) consisting of functions which satisfy the condition \(\text{Re} \{1+{zf''(z)\over f'(z)}\} <\alpha\), \(z \in U\). The authors consider different properties of classes \(M(\alpha)\) and \(N (\alpha)\). They obtain conditions like the following: if \(f\in A\), \(f(z)/z\neq 0\) for \(z\in U\) and \(\sum^\infty_{n=2} n|a_n|\leq 1\), then \(f\in S^*\) (is a starlike function). In theorems and proofs the second assumption is omitted, unfortunately.
