The authors construct a \(p\)-adic wavelet system (\(p\) is a prime number), where instead of using dilations by \(p\), they employ a more general matrix dilation. In particular, they generate a multiresolution analysis with a \(p\)-adic matrix \(A\) for which \(|\det A|_{2}=2\).
