Let \(C_B({\mathbb R})\) denote the bounded continuous functions on \(\mathbb R\). For any \(f \in C_B({\mathbb R})\) and \(t \in \mathbb R\), let \({_t f}\) denote the translate of \(f\) by \(t\). A bounded linear functional \(F\) on \(C_B({\mathbb R})\) is called translation continuous if \(\lim_{t \to 0} F({_t f}) = F(f)\) for each \(f \in C_B({\mathbb R})\). In the paper under review, the author studies translation continuous functionals and, in particular, relates the property of a functional being translation continuous to its support.
