Linear neutral partial differential equations: A semigroup approach (Q1811916): Difference between revisions

Summary: We study linear neutral PDEs of the form \[ (\partial/\partial t)Fu_{t} = BFu_{t}+\Phi u_{t},\quad t \geq 0;\qquad u_{0}(t)=\varphi(t),\quad t\leq 0, \] where the function \(u(\cdot)\) takes values in a Banach space \(X\). Under appropriate conditions on the difference operator \(F\) and the delay operator \(\Phi\), we construct a \(C_0\)-semigroup on \(C_{0}(\mathbb{R}_{-},X)\) yielding the solutions of the equation.
