The authors prove that every probabilistic normed space has a completion; i.e. is isometric to a dense linear subspace of a complete probabilistic normed space. There are two definitions of a probabilistic normed space; one given by \textit{A. N. Sherstnev} in [Sov. Math., Dokl. 4, 388-391 (1963); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 149, 280-283 (1963; Zbl 0127.34902)] and the other given by \textit{C. Alsina}, \textit{B. Schweizer} and \textit{A. Sklar} in [Aequationes Math. 46, 91-98 (1993; Zbl 0792.46062)]. The authors address both definitions and use the equivalence classes of Cauchy sequences to construct a completion consistent with either the first or second definition of a probabilistic normed space.
