Let \(\chi\) be a Hecke character of the rational numbers with the exceptional set \(P\). The author proves that the Euler product \[ \zeta(s,\chi)=\prod_{p\not\in P}\frac{1}{1-\frac{\chi(p)}{p^s}} \] is convergent also for \(\Re(s)=1\), \(s\neq 1\). There is a functional equation between \(\zeta(s,\chi)\) and \(\zeta(2-s,\chi)\) which implies a generalization of Tate's adelic Poisson summation formula for the Hankel transformation constructed in a previous article [J. Number Theory 130, No. 2, 386--430 (2010; Zbl 1216.11105)].
