Riemannian foliations admitting transversal conformal fields. II (Q2339893): Difference between revisions

The paper under review is part of the author's programme to characterize (regular) Riemannian foliations which are transversally isometric to a sphere. The case examined here is that of Riemannian foliations with constant (non-zero) transversal scalar curvature. Based on a generalized Obata theorem (proved by the author et al. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 376, No. 1, 129--135 (2011; Zbl 1211.53059)]), the author shows that if the manifold admits a transversal conformal field which satisfies certain conditions, then the foliation is transversally isometric to a sphere.
