The paper deals with a fixed point theorem in a locally multiplicatively convex algebra \(X\) with Hausdorff topology and sequentially complete. For a closed, convex and bounded subset \(S\) of \(X\), two operators \(A:X\to X\), \(B:S\to X\) satisfying some assumptions expressed in terms of the concepts used in fixed point theory are considered (\(A\) is D-Lipschitz, \(B\) is completely continuous, etc.). Then it is shown that the operator equation \(x=AxBx\) has a solution. The above sketched result is applied in proving an existence result for a nonlinear integral equation with unbounded deviation in the algebra \(C(\mathbb R_+,\mathbb R)\). The paper contains a few unclear reasonings and in general, the text teems with language errors.
