Let \(\langle A,\;\cdot\;,\circ\rangle\) be a generalized Novikov-Poisson algebra. In [Commun. Algebra 42, No. 5, 2285--2298 (2014; Zbl 1301.17004)] the second author proved that the commutator \(\{a,b\}=a\circ b - b\circ a\) is a Jordan bracket, i.e., the corresponding Kantor double \(J(A,\{\cdot,\cdot\})\) is a Jordan superalgebra. Moreover, he showed that if the associative commutative part \(\langle A,\;\cdot\;\rangle\) of a generalized Novikov-Poisson algebra has at least one nonzero divisor then the corresponding Jordan superalgebra is special [the second author, Algebra Logic 52, No. 3, 236--249 (2013; Zbl 1317.17001)]. In the paper under review it is proved that for any generalized Novikov-Poisson algebra \(\langle A,\;\cdot\;,\circ\rangle\) the corresponding Kantor double with respect the bracket \(\{a,b\}=a\circ b - b\circ a\) is a special Jordan superalgebra.
