The authors consider a system consisting of two units in series and one repair facility with first-fail, first-repaired repair discipline. A failure of unit one shuts off unit two but not vice versa. Life times and repair times are all independent with general distributions. The authors present without proofs representations for the mean renewal period, the limiting availability and the failure frequency of the system.
