Global exact boundary controllability for first order quasilinear hyperbolic systems of diagonal form (Q2379087): Difference between revisions

The authors consider the following general quasilinear hyperbolic system of diagonal form \[ \frac{\partial u_{i}}{\partial t} + \lambda_{i}(u) \frac{\partial u_{i}}{\partial x} = 0\quad (i=1,\ldots,n), \] and realise the exact boundary controllability for initial data and final data near, in \(C^{1}\) norm, to different constant equilibria, respectively. The result is global in the sense that there are no restrictions on the distance between the initial state and the final state.
