Let \(f\) be a continuous mapping in \(\mathbb{R}^d\) and let \(0\) be an isolated fixed point for the iterated mappings \(f^m\), \(m=1,\dots,n\). Then the Kronecker index sequence \(\alpha=\alpha(0;f;n)=\alpha_1,\dots,\alpha_n\), where \(\alpha_m= \text{ind}(0, \text{id}-f^m)\) is well defined. The authors study the properties of the sequence \(\text{ind}(\infty, \text{id}-f^m)\), \(m=1,2,\ldots\). The case when \(f\) has the asymptotic derivative \(A\) at infinity and some eigenvalues of \(A\) are roots of the unity is of primary interest.
