Interval dismantlable lattices (Q2413417): Difference between revisions

Dismantable lattices were introduced by \textit{D. Kelly} and \textit{I. Rival} [Can. J. Math. 26, 1257--1271 (1974; Zbl 0271.06003)]. An interval dismantling of a lattice is defined to be a partition of the lattice into two nonempty, complementary sublattices where one is an ideal and the other a filter. A finite lattice is said to be interval dismantable if it can be reduced to one-element lattices by successive interval dismantling. The authors find a quasi-equational base for the pseudovariety of interval dismantable lattices and prove that there are infinitely many minimal interval dismantable lattices.
