The authors note a gap in the proof of Lemma 1 of a preceeding paper of theirs, [Numer. Math. 98, No.~2, 305--327 (2004; Zbl 1058.65101)] and remark that the convexity of \(\Omega\) should be listed as an assumption of Lemma 1.
