Let \(F:D\subseteq X \to Y\) be a Fréchet differentiable operator (where \(X,Y\) are Banach spaces, and \(D\) is open, convex). The convergence of the deformed Newton's method (\(x_{n+1}=x_n-(F'((x_n+z_n)/2))^{-1} F(x_n), z_{n+1}=x_{n+1}-(F'((x_n+z_n)/2))^{-1} F(x_{n+1}), n\geq 0\)) towards a certain solution \(x^*\) of \(F(x)=0\) is analyzed, via regularity conditions (involving \(x^*\)) introduced by \textit{I. K. Argyros} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 298, 374--397 (2004; Zbl 1057.65029)].
