Let us consider \(\Gamma(A)\) the Geršgorin set of a square complex matrix \(A\), and let \(\mathcal{B}\) be an arbitrary set of nonsingular matrices. The minimal Geršgorin set with respect to \(\mathcal{B}\) is defined as \[ \Gamma^\mathcal{B}(A)= \bigcap_{X\in\mathcal{B}} \Gamma(X^{-1}AX)\; . \] In this note, the authors consider the case where \(\mathcal{B}\) is the set of all diagonal matrices whose diagonal entries are either \(1\) or \(x\), where \(x\) is an arbitrary positive number.
