The authors consider the following extreme matrix Nevanlinna--Pick interpolation problem: \[ W(z_k)=W_k,\quad 1\leq k\leq n,\quad | z_k| <1, \] and look for a solution \(W\) satisfying \[ W^*(z)W(z)\leq\rho^2_{\text{min}}, \quad | z| <1, \] where \(\rho_{\text{min}}\) is defined by a minimal rank condition. The authors also compare their minimal rank solution with the superoptimal solution. It turns out that they are different.
