Nonlinear integral inclusions of Hammerstein type \[ x(t)\in\int^b_a k(t,s)F\bigl( s,x(s)\bigr)ds+g(t)\tag{*} \] provide good examples for the applicability of ``multivalued'' fixed point theorems, in as much as the operator in (*) may be written as composition of a (singlevalued) linear integral operator and a (multivalued) nonlinear Nemytskij operator. There is a vast literature about various properties of these operators, and so one also knows many existence results for (*) building on fixed point arguments. Less is known, however, on the more general nonlinear integral inclusions of Uryson type \[ x(t)\in\int^b_aK\bigl(t,s,x(s)\bigr) ds+g(t).\tag{**} \] Some interesting results on solutions of (**) may be found, e.g., in a recent paper by \textit{A. Petrusel} [Ann. Soc. Math. Pol., Ser. I, Commentat. Math. 40, 147--158 (2000; Zbl 0991.47041)]. In this paper the authors give a systematic survey on the solvability of the inclusion (**) which is based on classical fixed point principles of \textit{H. F. Bohnenblust} and \textit{S. Karlin} [Contrib. Theory of Games, Ann. Math. Stud. 24, 155--160 (1950; Zbl 0041.25701)], on the one hand, and \textit{H. Covitz} and \textit{S. B. Nadler} jun. [Isr. J. Math 8, 5--11 (1970; Zbl 0192.59802)], on the other. These results extend those by Petrusel mentioned above, and are illustrated by several examples.
