The authors investigate the spectrum of general neutron transport semigroups on an unbounded convex domain \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N\). Under the assumption that the collision operator \(K\) is regular and the affine hyperplanes have zero \(\mu\)-measure, they prove that the Dyson-Phillips remainder term \(R_1(t)\) is continuous in the operator norm when \(\Omega=\mathbb{R}^N\), or \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^N\) and \(K(x)\) is smooth. Based on this result, they give critical spectrum and spectral mapping theorems.
