In [\textit{S. Vukmirović}, J. Geom. Phys. 94, 72--80 (2015; Zbl 1319.53024)], Riemannian and Lorentzian invariant metrics on the Heisenberg groups $H_{2n+1}$ were constructed. In the present paper, curvatures of these metrics are calculated and invariant generalized Ricci solitons on these groups are determined. It is shown that there are no invariant Ricci solitons and no invariant Yamabe solitons. On the other hand, there are algebraic Ricci solitons. The energy of a vector field is determined and spatially harmonic invariant unit time-like vector fields are determined. Homogeneous Riemannian and Lorentzian structures on $H_{2n+1}$ are determined with their types. Finally, parallel and totally geodesic hypersurfaces in $H_{2n+1}$ are described.
