A bounded linear operator \(T\) on a complex Hilbert space \(H\) is said to be \textit{complex symmetric} if there is a conjugate-linear operator on \(C\) which is both involutive and isometric such that \(T=CT^*C\). The class of complex symmetric operators is large and contains normal operators, Hankel operators, compressed Toeplitz operators and many integral operators. In this note, the authors establish some permanence properties of the Aluthge transform of complex symmetric operators. Among them, they show that if if \(T\) is a complex symmetric operator on \(H\) with the polar decomposition \(T=U|T|\), then the Aluthge transform \(\widetilde{T}_{t,t}=|T|^tU|T|^t\) is also complex symmetric. Some examples and applications are given to illustrate the obtained results.
