There are classes of harmonic morphisms from Lie groups and their homogeneous spaces that are constructed using representation theory, see [the first author and \textit{A. Sakovich} [Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 33, No. 4, 343--356 (2008; Zbl 1176.58011)]. Families of harmonic morphisms can be constructed by applying homogeneous polynomials to so-called eigenfamilies which are families of special complex-valued eigenfunctions of the Laplacian. Now complete minimal submanifolds of the Lie groups involved can be constructed as the fibres of suitable harmonic morphisms. This is what is done here, in particular for the representation \(\mathfrak{sl}_n(\mathbb{C})\) of \(\mathrm{SU}(n)\). As a result, it is found that, for any \(H\in\mathbb{C}^{n\times n}\) with \(n\) different eigenvalues, the compact subset \(\{(z_1,\dots,z_n)\in \mathrm{SU}(n):z_1^tH\,\overline{z_2}=0\}\) of \(\mathrm{SU}(n)\) is a minimal submanifold of codimension two.
