This paper is devoted to the study of experimental evidence for intrinsic localized modes which arise as excitations of the minimum energy states of one quantum quasiparticle interacting with the vibrations of a nonlinear classical lattice. A general observation of this work is that the excitations of the minimum energy states are full breathers, that is, both of the quasiparticle and the lattice variables show periodic oscillations. As the excitation energy increases, these breathers become multifrequency breathers.
