Let \(A^s_{p,q} (\Omega)\) with \(A\in \{B,F \}\), \(s\in \mathbb R\) and \(0<p,q \le \infty\) be the nowadays well-known classical function spaces in bounded domains \(\Omega\) in \(\mathbb R^n\), defined by restriction to \(\Omega\) of their counterparts \(A^s_{p,q} (\mathbb R^n)\) in \(\mathbb R^n\). One has final answers under which circumstances the embedding \[ A^{s_1}_{p_1, q_1} (\Omega) \hookrightarrow A^{s_2}_{p_2,q_2} (\Omega) \] is continuous and under which circumstances this continuous embedding is compact. In case of compactness one can measure the degree of compactness in terms of entropy numbers or in terms of approximation numbers. There are several types of generalizations of the above spaces \(A^s_{p,q} (\Omega)\), including in particular the spaces \(A^{s, \tau}_{p,q} (\Omega)\), preferably with \(0 \le \tau \le n/p\), imitating how one steps from the underlying Lebesgue spaces \(L_p (\mathbb R^n)\) to their Morrey generalizations \({\mathcal M}_{u,p} (\mathbb R^n)\), \(0<p \le u <\infty\). The paper studies in detail the above-indicated problems for these more general spaces \(A^{s,\tau}_{p,q}(\Omega)\).
