Let \(E/\mathbb{Q}\) be an elliptic curve with discriminant \(\Delta_E\). Let \(\overline{\rho}_{E,3}\) be the \(\bmod 3\) Galois representation associated to the \(3\)-torsion points of \(E\). Assume that \(\overline{\rho}_{E,3}\) is surjective and let \(\rho\) be the attached octahedral Galois representation. The paper gives an explicit formula for the Fourier coefficients \(a_p\), \(p\nmid 3 \Delta_E\) of the newform of weight one associated to \(\rho\) in terms of the Fourier coefficients of the newform of weight 2 associated to \(E\) and of the Fourier coefficients of the dihedral newform of weight one attached to the field generated over \(\mathbb{Q}\) by \(\sqrt{-3}\) and \(\root{3}\of{\Delta_E}\).
